Dr. Kamau is a computational biologist with a focus on computational protein structure modeling and engineering. His work entails understanding the structural requirements for anti-HIV antibodies’ interaction with the viral entry protein gp120. He has also previously worked on identifying host-parasite interaction effectors of Toxoplasma gondi using a chemical biology approach. Dr. Kamau is a research engineer and data scientist at SMaPP. He is especially interested in developing tools to analyze and visualize politically driven social networks.
