Edwin Kamau

Edwin Kamau is a computational biologist with a focus on computational protein structure modeling and engineering and research engineer and data scientist at NYU’s Center for Social Media and Politics. Previously, he worked on identifying host-parasite interaction effectors of Toxoplasma gondii using a chemical biology approach.

His work entails understanding the structural requirements for anti-HIV antibodies’ interaction with the viral entry protein gp120. He is especially interested in developing tools to analyze and visualize politically driven social networks.
