Seonhye Noh is a Postdoctoral Associate at NYU's Center for Social Media, AI, and Politics. She received her Ph.D. in Communication from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research examines how people encounter, select, and engage with political information on algorithmically curated platforms, and how these individual behaviors add up to collective patterns such as audience fragmentation. Combining large-scale digital trace data, computational text and network analysis, and experiments, she studies news selectivity, algorithmic recommendation, and platform interventions such as AI-based content moderation. Her work has appeared in the International Journal of Press/Politics, Journal of Media Psychology, Social Media + Society, and Computational Communication Research, among other outlets.
