Swapneel Mehta

Swapneel Mehta is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Boston University & MIT. He graduated from NYU's Data Science department and worked as a Graduate Research Associate at NYU's Center for Social Media and Politics where he researched interventions to limit misinformation using tools from causality and probabilistic machine learning. He is also the founder of SimPPL, an organization that helps local news understand online audiences. Swapneel is a Computer Engineer by training and has previously worked on graph neural network-based recommendation systems at Adobe Research and machine learning for particle physics at CERN.
