CSMaP Awarded National Science Foundation COVID-19 RAPID Grant

The pandemic has been accompanied by an infodemic, exposing shortcomings not only in the diffusion of high quality information through online networks, but also in our understanding of who is most susceptible to believing false and misleading information during times of crisis. With the support of the NSF RAPID Grant for $199,596, we’re studying susceptibility to false and misleading news around COVID-19, as well as to testing how the new pandemic environment impacts assessment of the veracity of news.
