James Bisbee is an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University. He was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at NYU’s Center for Social Media and Politics and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton’s Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance. In 2019, he received his PhD from NYU's Department of Politics.

In addition, he conducts research in quantitative methods, with a focus on the external validity of causally identified relationships.
