Alexandra Siegel is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She’s also a nonresident fellow at Brooking in the Center for Middle East Policy and the Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology Initiative. She also serves as a faculty affiliate at Stanford’s Immigration Policy Lab (IPL) at NYU’s CSMaP. Her research uses social media data, social network analysis, and textual analysis to explore mass and elite political behavior in the Arab World. In 2018, she received her PhD from NYU’s Department of Politics. Previously, Alexandra was a Junior Fellow in the Middle East Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a CASA at the American University in Cairo.
